What is a ceramic coating?
In general a ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that is applied to the vehicle’s exterior or interior to protect it from damage. The coating bonds with the paint creating a hard protective layer. This does not alter the color of the paint but this gives the vehicle’s paint extreme hydrophobic properties (water repellant, water beading) and protects it from the elements more effectively as well as making the vehicle much easier to clean! Depending on the coating applied and how well it has been maintained, will determine the life of the coating. Most coatings last at least a few years.
Ceramic Coatings
What is paint correction?
It’s actually a detailing process that removes imperfections from mostly the vehicle’s clear coat. It involves using cutting and polishing compounds to buff out scratches, swirl marks and other blemishes. Depending on the condition of the vehicle’s clear coat and paint and the expectation of the customer, we can remove 50%-90% of the imperfections. This process is very tedious and time consuming. All paint corrections are case by case basis and subject to a consultation for an accurate quote. Benefits: restores shine while removing imperfections, protects paint and increases resale value. We also offer a more affordable option. A paint enhancement. A much quicker and more affordable option. A paint enhancement will bring the gloss and life back to the vehicle’s paint! This does not remove any scratches, swirls or imperfections.
Paint Correction
What is smoke/odor removal?
It’s the process of removing and eliminating lingering smells. Usually cigarette smoke, smoke odor from a fire or pet smells/urine. This process involves deep cleaning the entire interior of the vehicle. We use odor neutralizing sprays to tackle stains and the source of the odor. Once this has been achieved, we finish it off with a ozone treatment machine. This machine will break down the molecules or the odor trapped in the upholstery, carpets and air vents. It is recommended the customer purchases a new cabin air filter before the treatment. If the odor comes back, we will run another ozone treatment free of charge.
Smoke/Odor Removal
Pick up and drop off procedure
Once a quote has been sent by District 6 Detailing, it must be approved by the customer. After the quote is approved, a appointment booking text will be sent. Customers may drop off their vehicle to 8654 Mount union court, Lancaster Ohio, 43130. Please make sure you have a family member or friend drive a separate vehicle to take you home while your vehicle is being serviced and then to pick your vehicle up once the service is complete. We do not have a waiting room at this time. You will receive a service completion text once the service is complete.
In the event of a longer service, you may be asked if we can keep your vehicle over night. This may be related to weather and/or to ensure the highest quality results from District 6 detailing. No vehicles may stay longer than the agreed amount of time between District 6 Detailing and the customer. The customer will be charged an additional fee of $20 per day if not picked up on time.
